Hey Mars,

I love this. You really have a way with words. Simple, punchy, bold. Inspiring post. I'm working on this stuff constantly. Like others have said, the focus thing is key. It's something I'm working really hard to master these days. Starting a blog can sometimes be overwhelming. There are so many things I feel like I have to do and I get distracted by things like twitter (and blogs like marsdorian.com ;) but yeah, mastering the focus thing. That's definitely a big goal of mine right now.

haha, those two lines took me forever to grasp.
The world only sucks when you suck, because you have the choice to “think” a different world.

And about the comparison – I still do it. But not as often as in the past. It's just useless in the long run if you don't get any value out of it !

true – while comparison sucks, it can certainly lift you to new heights. Controlled aggression often is my fuel to keep going. It's the energy that gets things done.
Still need to get used to the traffic ride, though :)

Good article, I agree that you shouldn't compare yourself to others younger, who reach success faster…etc as this will only serve to demoralize you. Anger however can be harnessed to produce drive and ambition, I myself have at many points in blogging reached the same mindset of “why bother” to “anger” that causes me to double my efforts…etc

Blogging is a roller coaster ride.
