Be the real you, the raw, unabridged version of YOU. The part of you that illuminates the world with a remarkable aura that’s not from this planet !
But that’s not what people do – Instead, they bend themselves. Pretending to be someone else. Compromising all the way through, wasting their original potential.
I see their blogs and I know there’s more behind that – lots of raw potential – but they suppress it. There’s so much in it, – ARRRHG – I can feel it, I can sense the, but one foot is married to the brakes…
The problem is that people still think the Internet works like the real world, but that’s only partly true !
It does look similar, it feels kind of similar, but it is yet totally different. It’s like in the movie Matrix – a digital world, copied from the “real” but with more, unlimited potential.
In the Matrix you have 2 options:
a) Be an ordinary citizen and follow the rules like in the real world, which results in experiencing the same results.
b) Be like NEO and invent your own rules. Vaporize gravity, dodge bullets and jump higher than Super Mario – It’s only impossible if you think it is !
The real world and the Matrix, they’re like the old world and the 2.0 world !
2 poles of existence, slowly derailing from each other.
And since your time is sooo valuable time and precious, I’ll settle the differences in a showdown which I call “When worlds collide !”

Old world. Big business appearance. It goes like this: Hello, we’re a successful consulting agency with lots of experience. We would love to work with and make your business grow, please….SHISHISISHI – I call this the robot experience. Automatic by the book talking. 2 people pretending to be a Goliath corporation, “oversugared” with sterile formalities that lack the human touch.
Blah, blah and triple-blah ! It’s impersonal, cold and irritating. Where’s the love ?

2.0 world. One (wo)man show ! “Hey, I’m Sue, and this is what I have done (insert awesome references here!). I love to build inspiring small businesses, and I have a jones for brownies. Call me and we’ll work something out.
Way to go Sue ! Gimme some of dem brownies !
“clap-clap” That’s real human interaction at its best ! No more working with a faceless company, it’s now working with crazy Sue who has a fetish for brownies ! Business just got personal again.
Old world. PERFECTION. Shiny advertisements, slick videos and laser-sharp business cards. I’m not a robot yet, but I’m getting there !

Is this a 100% me, or is this a wishy-washy compromise of how my blog/business has supposed to look ?

I’m looking at my blog right now and I’m still not satisfied. It’s kind of cool, but then it’s not ME enough. And I’m going to change that with the upcoming week. I’m going reinvent the way you experience a blog. I’m going to “Mars Dorianize” it all the way !
