“Ai” is the Japanese word for love, and it happens to sound like the English “I”.

So it means Love Empire, but sounds like I Empire, which results in I Love Empire.

And that’s today’s motto.

It used to be cool to be big

Big, super-corporations that branded themselves into your consciousness by squandering millions of dollars. If you were a solo entreprenuer, you had a tough, tough time, because you lacked the vast resource power.That was during the TV era, when big marketing meant big money.

Clap Clap your hands, because that show just got cancelled.

There’s a new one coming up, and it’s called…

Small is the new big

or

Boy, it sucks to be big !

The internet has made it possible to build a one (wo)man empire around your person and passion, your very own “I-Empire” !

There are probably a trillion reasons why YOU should consider (and build) your brand around that concept, but for your ADD’s sake, let me give you 6:

• Zilch-Zero marketing costs. Big brands need big budgets, you only need your tweets and blog posts. Every word about your niche is marketing in itself – spread the love, reap the benefits !
• Immense value of brand recognition. Woo, what a slammer phrase ! But so true ! If your brand is consistent throughout the web (Logo, same avatar, brand colors), then you will drastically increase the impact of your brand, empire style
• True fans. Sure, people love cool corporate brands (think Apple), but in the age of the web, they prefer personal brands, because they’re…well, personal. Remember, human interaction = emotional relationship = Epic Win !
• You will survive. The internet moves faster than the speed of light. Zoooooooooooom it goes, and watch how it flows. Change is the currency of the web. Big, cumbersome corporations have a hard, hard time reacting to changes. Not YOU ! See the change, react to the change, and do it in real-time. You can adapt, that’s why you will survive.
• You are a 100% independent. Well, sort of. You are your brand, which means you have total control (control freaks unite!) of your own destiny. You don’t need the gatekeepers anymore – the show begins with you, and it will end with you.
• You have all the fun, the power and possibility . Man, I could go on and on, but I only have this life time.

And If that’s still NOT enough for you , then please consult your attending physician !

But if you say, “Heck yeah, I-Empire, I’m going to illuminate the world with my shiny brand” then allow me to congratulate you. You’re one step away from eternal epicness – the greatest place to be.

• It starts with a delusion. Yep, no more reasonable thinking. Develop a complete disregard for where your abilities end, and set your brand goals as outrageous as possible. • Endless fire inside. Skills are cheap, passion is priceless. No matter where you are at the moment – vibrant, ever-glowing passion will get you over every obstacle – imaginative or not.

Hold still for a moment and witness the glory: It’s now easier than ever to build a one-(wo)man empire brand around your passion, with almost no costs. And if you have passion that melts steel like butter and the desire to provide value, you can make a kick-ass living.
